University of the Cordilleras chess team member Frederick Bintudan scored a perfect nine to take the third week of the on-going Weekly Blitz Tournament at the Baguio Center Mall (BCM) activity area.
Bintudan won over fellow players from other Baguio-Benguet Educational Athletic League schools to join Mark Castillo and Wilbur Suanding in the roster of winners this quarter.
With the win, Bintudan, Castillo, and Suanding have chances of joining first quarter winner John John Mendoza in the year ending finals of the tournament.
Geron Bas-ong of the Cordillera Career Development College lost twice for seven points to take second spot of the senior’s side, which is open to 13 years old and above. He lost to University of Baguio’s Lance Kindipan for his seven points.
