Bugan, ay Bugan is her name, daughter of Panga’iwan o..e
28 I am selling her in exchange for a weaving loom to use in
the village of Gonhadan

44 Then poor Bugan went down to the sandy riverside of Huyadan,
up to the rice fields of the village site of

283 The chickens were all over his head and they could kill
Aliguyon Dagdaguyon, son of Amtalao.
284 Soon it was afternoon, the sun marking the time of day.
285 Time for Binenwahan to put the chickens in their coops
in the granary site of Banawol.
286 There he saw a handsome young man under the granary
house in the village of Banawol;
287 "O goodness! These chickens might kill him there in the
granary site of Banawol!"
288 They were all over the head of Aliguyon, Dagdaguyon, son

wife of Binenhawen
396 Just look how Aliguyon has perked up, Aliguyon Dagdaguyon

409 She went to ask the name of the village from the handsome
braves o..ya, of Banawol nema o..e
410 Those braves who were swimming in the river in the
village of Banawol;
411 These were the young ones of the handsome braves o..ya,
of Banawol nema o..e
412 Aguinaya stepped up to the ricefields in the village of

432 After eating they moved to the doorway for their aftermeal

433 Spoke Aguinaya ay Aguinaya o..ya daughter of Amtalao
o..e
434 "It is good and proper that we go to our village, our
homesite in Huyadan,
435 There we will have the sit-in rite for Bugan ay Bugan

436 They discussed this especially with In-uyay, wife of

447 Dumulao looked out of the door, Dumulao ay Dumulao
o..ya, wife of Amtalao o..e
448 She came down from the house to the yard, their

there on the floor o..ya, in Huyadan nema o..e
456 After eating and putting away the food containers, they
moved to the doorway for their after-meal chew there in
the center in the village of Huyadan.
457 Spoke Aliguyon Dagdaguyon o..ya, son of Amtalao.
458 "It would be good and proper, my father Iken ay Iken
o..ya, Amtalao
459 If we celebrate our wedding with Bugan ay Bugan o..ya

460 And Iken asserted, Iken ay Iken, Amtalao.
24
461 And Iken knew that it was the heartfelt desire of

center o..ya of Huyadan o..e
464 He held a chicken by it's neck then jumped unto their

village of Huyadan
465 How ably did Aliguyon offer the sacrifice to the
spirits, Aliguyon ay Dagdaguyon o..ya, son of Amtalao
o..e
466 "Ye chicken in our center in the village of Huyadan,
467 I make this offering for the success of our wedding

478 The beautiful maidens flocked to dance in the

479 Thus it went on in the center, in the village of

25
481 Each one would enter her house in the center of the

482 It was like that everyday in the center, in the village
o..ya, of Huyadan nema, o..e
483 Soon it was midway to its finish, this wedding feast of
Bugan and Aliguyon Dagdaguyon, son of Amtalao

485 It reached the village, the hamlet of Gonhadan.
486 Dulnuan heard of it, Dulnuan ay Dulnuan o..ya, son of

Dulnuan, son of Panga’iwan.
488 Let me go the borders, to the handsome braves of
Gonhadan,
489 I'll go to ask for lime just to hear more from the

490 Dulnuan therefore went to the borders of the village, to
the handsome braves of Gonhadan.
491 He came upon a crowd of handsome braves o..ya, of
Gonhadan nema o..e
492 "What can he wish to ask of us, Dulnuan ay Dulnuan, son

494 "We each have a little lime but we are saving it for our
trip to the center of the village of Huyadan;
495 We are going to the wedding feast of Aliguyon and Bugan
ay Bugan o..ya, wife of Aliguyon o..e"
496 "Then please wait for me, please for Dulnuan ay Dulnuan
is his name, son of Panga’iwan."
497 This Dulnuan ay Dulnuan is his name, son of Panga’iwan,
498 Don't you have any string for a boy, my father
Iken ay Iken o..ya, Amtalao?
499 And Dangunay answered, Dangunay, wife of Panga’iwan:
500 "Why do we lack anything?" said Indangunay ay
Dangunay o..ya, wife of Panga’iwan o..e
26
501 Then Dulnuan remembered his game of tops at the borders
where lived the handsome braves of Gonhadan.
502 Dulnuan went to the borders where lived the handsome
braves o..ya, of Gonhadan nema o..e
503 Dulnuan played tops with the children of the handsome

sister was abandoned, your sister Bugan ay Bugan
daughter of Panga’iwan?"
508 "What are you saying, ye handsome braves of Gonhadan?"
509 "Oh, nothing, nothing", smirked the handsome braves
o..ya of Gonhadan nema o..e
510 Dulnuan therefore returned to the center, in the village
of Gonhadan.
511 Hog angry he was with his mother Indangunay ay Dangunay
o..ya wife of Panga’iwan o..e
512 "Why, did you really abandon Bugan, my sister, ye mother
Indangunay ay Dangunay is her name, wife of Panga’iwan?"
513 Indangunay would not answer, Indangunay o..ya, wife of
Panga’iwan o..e
514 "So you really did abandon my sister Bugan, ye mother

516 To finance my search for my sister, Bugan ay Bugan

529 Dulnuan scooped a fistful of rice chaff in the center,
the village
530 "We cannot afford", said the handsome braves o..ya, of

531 Dulnuan then went on the other far way neighboring

532 He walked on and soon reached the sandy riverside of
Huyadan;
533 Aye, there was the village, the hamlet of Huyadan.
534 He asked the children of the handsome braves by the

541 And stopped at the house in the center, the village of
